Twenty Six development projects that will help thousands of families in different communities develop a proper solution to their difficulties have recently been accomplished in Baghlan province.
A press release issued by the National Solidarity Programme of the Ministry of Rural Rehabilitation and Development indicated that the projects include the grading and gravelling of a 20,000-meter road, excavation of five well along with hand pump installation, construction of a social center, six safe water reservoir, 31 culverts, a 1190-meter protection wall, a 280-meter surrounding wall, a 41-meter water channel, covering of a 4600-meter school building with steel, a bridge, a public bath, establishment of a 41kw micro-hydro power, installation of a diesel-power mills, irrigation canals with a length of 3,040-meters, and establishment of a female tailoring course.
The report adds that the projects were completed in Baghlan Kuhna, Baghlan Jadeed, Burka, Tala Barfak, Andarab, Doshi, Khost and Doshi districts of Baghlan province at a cost of AFN 28,252,000 of which 10% is community contribution. The completion of the projects will allow around 5,279 families to meet their basic needs that their communities had gone short of for years.
It is important to point out that the work of hundreds of other MRRD/NSP development projects in various communities of Baghlan province is presently in progress. |
